Filling the Gaps in Long Term Care Which Medicare Does Not Address
July 29 • 9:30 am - 11:00 am PDT
Join us for a 1-hour CE Course Lunch & Learn with Stan & Marcia Israel of Stan Israel Insurance Services. This educational session focuses on Long‑Term Care (LTC) Insurance and how it fits into today’s healthcare delivery system.
During this session, we will cover:
- How long-term care works and what it truly covers
- Where care is provided and who delivers it
- What Medicare and Medi‑Cal cover—and what they do not
- An overview of Veterans’ benefits
- Common ways long-term care is funded
- How agents can help families create proactive long-term care plans
For Medicare agents, understanding the basics of LTC Insurance and how it works helps them become more informed advisors about senior care and health care—even for those who do not have the coverage. Seniors scramble to find care solutions all too often. Being a trusted advisor is the role of a Medicare (and healthcare insurance) advisor. They become a better resource for their clients with more knowledge in their tool kit.
Our 1-Hour CE course covers LTC Insurance through the lens of the Healthcare Delivery system – which medical plans cover which services, how this works for Medicare and Medi-Cal. We touch on Veteran’s Benefits a bit. We discuss what Long Term Care actually covers and where people are cared for, by whom, how care is delivered, and how to pay for this care. Families go into crisis without planning so we also discuss how agents can help families create a long-term care plan ahead of the need. We cover marketing and product knowledge a few minutes after the course hour.
Light refreshments will be provided.
